Your life wasn’t supposed to be this way. You find yourself tired, stressed out, broken down and stuck. You have no idea how to change things. You have even given up on thinking anything is ever going to change. You know that there is more to this life and yet it all feels pointless. You know God has a place that only He can fill. You pray, read the bible, do devotions, and attend church.  Yet your heart longs for more.  You look around at others but they are doing much as you are. And you wonder what am I doing wrong?

Something inside of you is discontent. You know that you’re created for more than this. There is a nagging persistence that interrupts your life. There are whispers of promise that you haven’t been able to name. They speak of promise, of a future. You sense a potential that your life doesn’t show. A call to greatness. You don’t know how to move forward. You have tried but the obstacles were great. The questions and doubts seem louder than the promise. You wonder, “Who am I to think…” and you come up with a million reasons to support the things as they are.

Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won’t feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It’s not just in some of us; it’s in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others. ~Marianne Williamson

I get it. I’ve been where you are wondering, “What do I have to offer anyone? Why would anyone care about what I have to say?” But God has shown me that it is time to stop playing small.  God created each of us to be a light in this dark world. It is time that we stop letting the enemy have power over us.

God gave us all authority. We need to learn how to use that authority. To begin to realize who we are and the power we have. So that we might begin to live victorious lives in Christ. And fulfilling the purpose God has for your life. A plan put in place before you were even formed in the womb. A plan that God desires that you fulfill.
